When the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced its blessed Vision 2030, it placed scientific research as an important pillar to build a sustainable future that achieves ambitions; the Royal Decree established the Research, Development and Innovation Development Authority to assume competencies related to supporting, encouraging and coordinating efforts to achieve major developmental goals. We noticed the first signs of these wise policies through the Kingdom's global progress in several indicators, such as the Global Innovation Index, Stanford's list of the best published scientists in the world... and others. It is no secret to anyone the important role played by the university - any university - in the development process; the university is the most influential in the research, development and innovation system with its human capital that combines high scientific qualification and sober research passion capable of identifying and assessing needs, issues and gaps, the results of which contribute to the growth and advancement of societies. The Deanship of Scientific Research has been holding the "Scientific Research Day" every year in recognition of the importance of establishing and instilling research culture and methodology in the scientific training of university students, in addition to presentation and communication skills to stimulate and spread the spirit of competition among students, to form a promising generation of researchers capable of producing and sustaining knowledge, and enhancing the Kingdom's competitiveness and leadership globally.
