Message from the Chancellor's Advisor

Prof. Dr. Ibtisam bint Mohammed Almady

The quality of scientific research outputs in universities is one of the accurate indicators for measuring the level of their progress. The quality of the educational process depends on its professors and students possessing logical and creative thinking skills capable of diagnosing issues and finding effective solutions to them. In today's world, scientific research has become not just a complementary academic function but an economic product that contributes a significant amount to the GDP of countries. Therefore, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a Higher Committee for Research, Development and Innovation was established under the chairmanship of His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince, in recognition of the importance of scientific research in building a modern state and its prominent role in defining the future, declaring national aspirations for the next two decades, and preserving the Kingdom's competitive gains and leadership in all fields. From these lofty aspirations, the University of Knowledge has aligned its research strategy with national requirements by motivating faculty members to conduct unique research and publish it in high-impact journals, and internalizing this skill in the university's students so that its student outputs are characterized by originality and soundness of research methodology, and competition in global and local forums. The "Scientific Research Day" comes as one of the tools of the Deanship of Scientific Research to train university students to participate in scientific competitions, practice presentation, presentation and discussion, exchange experiences with their colleagues, and benefit from the observation of expert professors to form the personality of the knowledge-producing student researcher.
